Peter and Debbie Dodd

Serving in Taiwan

It was the lack of trained leadership that burdened Peter and Debbie and the vision to see the church in Taiwan begin to get a burden for Chinese around the world that took them there in 1995.

After language school, they ministered in two churches, one urban and then one very rural, walking aside the church and strengthening the leadership. In 2006, along with Chinese co-workers, they planted The Grace Place. It has grown into a healthy body of believers that has seen many come to Christ in a very gospel-resistant area. It has also sent out several who have gone into full-time ministry. The goal of planting the church there was not to just plant a single church, but to develop a network of churches that would be mutually encouraging and share resources and personnel.

Peter serves as field leader and Debbie teaches future pastors and church leaders at Central Taiwan CB Seminary in Hsilo, teaching Bible, Hebrew, Greek and missions. They both invest in national church leaders, walking alongside, praying for and encouraging them.
